What are Damon braces?

Are Damon braces suitable for kids?

Yes, kids can get Damon braces. It’s best to chat with your orthodontist about this. They’re often used as an adult brace, so can be ideal for those over 18.

How long does Damon braces treatment take?

Damon says they’re faster than other options and fewer appointments are needed – which can give you peace of mind if you don’t have the time for regular dental appointments, or feel anxious about coming in for treatment.

I’ve had braces before. Can I still try Damon’s braces?

Yes, usually. We’ll always arrange a consultation for our patients before starting treatment, which helps us to work out if it’s a suitable option for you. But, most people can undergo Damon brace treatment – and enjoy some fantastic results at the end of it!

Will I need to wear a retainer after treatment?

In most cases. That’s because teeth can slowly start to shift or ‘migrate’ from their new positions. A retainer helps ‘retain’ your newly-straightened smile. Don’t worry – retainers are comfortable to wear and easy to use, clean and care for, and our orthodontists will happily talk you through this during your appointment with us.
